To *blackmage9

the friend who showed me the hard way that it doesn't matter whether you're good or bad at something, but how much you love doing it that matters.

Thank you.

Full view to appreciate.

This is beautiful and sad - I hope the sadness in the picture draws a lot of people into it, so that they get to see the true message.
None of us are able to magically begin performing any art or skill with perfection - when we begin, we fail. We fail again, and again. What determines if we become highly skilled in our art (whatever that may be), is whether we LEARN from those failures. A true artist uses each failure as an opportunity to grow and strengthen their character, perfecting their craft. Your piece above is clearly an example of how you took a difficult experience (may not have been a "failure," per se), and took some time to reflect on it, and decided to not let it beat you down, but instead used it as an opportunity to rise up even stronger and more determined than before. Bravo, to you!! It's often very difficult, and takes courage...hopefully, you will inspire others :)

I LOVE the message from this. It's not being the best at something that's important. It's about how much love you have for that something. That's a moral that I'm trying to live by, since I'm really into art. ^_^

Hey! Love your work! I actually wanted to ask if you can explain to me how you did this? Im new to graphic Design and I go to the art institute of Philadelphia and Im in this class typograpghy and they are asking us to take a quote and kind of make a picture out of type expressing with the type...being that i am new to this, i am so lost and I have no idea how to do it and its due this Weds!! Is there anyway you could help me? I wanted to use this quote:“Faces of type are like men’s faces. They have their own expression; their complexion and peculiar twists and turns of line identify them immediately to friends, to whom each is full of identity.”
